An Atheist’s Nightmare

I put things like this on my blog so you won’t have to search. I hope you see the blessing this provides. May Yahweh (GOD) touch your heart today.

  1. He seems to be under the common misconception that the only alternative to a designed Universe is a Universe coming together by chance, when in fact Evolution is not a matter of chance.

The other two arguments seem self-defeating. It might be possible to argue a World without a God has no meaning – though I would disagree – but even if you DID successfully argue this, it doesn’t prove a God to be real. The case may just be that the Universe is meaningless.

As to morality, I find it hard to believe humans derive their sense of right and wrong from the musings of Bronze age storytellers.

All this shouldn’t matter I suppose as I was under the impression religion required faith and faith requires no proof.

Anyway, have a lovely day :)

  2. Lucy,

You are obviously blind to your own metaphysical presuppositions. For some reason, you have committed yourself to a naturalistic worldview, and have done so without any proof. Take, for example, this quote:

<i”"As to morality, I find it hard to believe humans derive their sense of right and wrong from the musings of Bronze age storytellers.”

You haven’t proven anything that you asserted in this quote. You have merely aasumed that God does not exist, and therefore the Bible is merely “the musings of Bronze age storytellers”.

Let me ask you, how do you, as an atheist, justify your metaphysical presuppositions? How do you account for the ability of the human mind to understand our world? What about your view of morality?

There are many more, and I beseech you to carefully consider the question of God more closely instead of writing it off as “the musings of Bronze age storytellers.”
